Sweet, like a rose blooming
Soft like the touch of billowing satin
Gentle like the night's soft whisper
Shy at moments, a child's heart beaming
Soft like the touch of billowing satin
Gentle like the night's soft whisper
Shy at moments, a child's heart beaming
Tender, with moments of strength
Quiet when knowing is right
Wise like the evening sky
As it stretches, and blends anew
An ever changing mystery
Just after nightfall
An open book when trust
Overturns every obstacle
A tower of compassion
Even when walls and surface disguise
Make one come to unfortunately believe
Quite entirely otherwise

Hi! Obviously written by someone who has love in their heart and love on their mind - Take Care - Peter
Wow, I really liked that. Admittedly, I'm not the biggest poetry fan that ever walked the earth, but what strikes me about this one is the last stanza. It has quite a bit of resonance to it. Excellent!
Speaking thus, I found your blog on blogcatalog.com and since you're obviously into writing and poetry, I wanted to let you know about a new e-zine that me and a few writer friends are putting together.
It's called The Oddville Press.
You should check us out if you're interested. It is free to subscribe, after all. Or, better yet--submit something! We're in serious need of good poetry submissions.
Thanks a bunch and good luck!
I love your words, beautiful and well done, hats off to Jeff for the excellent image.
Very lovely poem.
